SAI - Social Accountability International is promoting the holding of workshops in key countries for the Programs of the SA8000 standard and SAI itself.
The importance of these workshops is linked to the need to ensure that the updated standard reflects the objectives and concerns of places and people.
In these sessions, SAI will present its vision for the revised standard, and participants will be able to share their views as an individual organization or constituency.
These workshops are an opportunity for participants to:
- Help shape the future of social norms
- Know each other's priorities and concerns about key work topics and share their perspective
- Know how developments in the general scenario of work and social responsibility are influencing this revision of the standard
- Gain knowledge of the preliminary principles in the revised Standard
- Users of the SA8000 System and other SAI programs can directly contribute to the future direction of these programs.
